The city is in the process of looking how to expand housing, restaurant and retail establishments that will help foster Muncie’s downtown as a destination to live, work, play and stay. Muncie is a vibrant city that is focused on attracts and retains residents and visitors by providing high-quality employment opportunities, offering healthy lifestyle choices, as well as fostering an innovative culture of entrepreneurship, education, healthcare, arts, entertainment, and recreation.
White River Lofts
White River Lofts is a mixed-use riverfront building in downtown Muncie that includes 55 residential apartments with high quality finishes and views of the White River. Commercial space will be available on the ground floor.
The project is the first phase of the White River Canal District, located at 400 W. Washington Street. This area is adjacent to the riverfront, walkable shopping, restaurants, and offices in Muncie’s central business district. Read more here
